Corvallis Comedy Night with Emmy Blotnick

March 14th @ 7:30 pm
Starker Auditorium
Tickets: $14
Content: Appropriate Audiences

Emmy Blotnick has deep thoughts about shallow subjects. Both as a stand-up and TV writer, her incisive takes on today’s pop culture and politics give them way more thoughtful consideration than they deserve. Blotnick was recently nominated for an Emmy (no relation) for her work as a writer on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, where she was also the creative force behind the show’s best-selling charity children’s book Whose Boat Is This Boat?. Some of her other writing credits include The Comedy Central Roast, @midnight, Best Week Ever and The President Show. As a stand-up, Emmy has performed on Conan, Colbert, Comedy Central, and recently completed a full month of shows at the world-famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. The New York Times calls her “a rising star with a comic, “Black Mirror” view of culture” and we can’t wait to welcome her to Corvallis to hear her takes on the latest cultural events. We’re sure tons of garbage stuff will happen between now and then.
