Corvallis Comedy Night with Guy Branum
June 7th @ 7:30 pm

“You may have noticed that I am unusually large for a homosexual.” That’s how Guy Branum introduced himself to America on Last Comic Standing and it’s that kind of hilarious forthrightness that defines his comedy. Trained as a lawyer, Guy knows how to attack a joke from every angle using his hyper-literate (and hyper-speed) delivery, as well as how to intellectually crush all those who dare defy him. Since escaping a Northern California farm town, Guy has appeared on Conan, Comedy Central, Chelsea Lately, The Mindy Project and in the Natalie Portman film No Strings Attached, and also hosted the late, great series Talk Show the Game Show on TruTV. As a writer, Guy has worked on such shows as The Mindy Project, E!’s Fashion Police and Billy on the Street, and has also had numerous op-ed and humor pieces run in such publications as The New York Times, Slate and Vulture. In 2018, he published his first book, a fantastic collection of essays called My Life As a Goddess: A Memoir Through (Un)Popular Culture. In addition to being a great stand-up and writer, Guy also has one of the best, most distinctive laughs in comedy. We can’t wait for all three talents to be on display as we celebrate Pride Month in Corvallis with the great Guy Branum!
