Clara Schumann became a renowned pianist, composer, and piano teacher who, although married to German composer Robert Schumann, developed her own impressive musical legacy in performance and composition, an uncommon profession for a woman of the Romantic era.

Against the backdrop of the centennial of the women’s right to vote, this concert celebrates women composers and features works by several historic and contemporary composers including some from our region.
