Yana Wana's Legend of the Bluebonnet

Presented by Indigenous Cultures Institute in partnership with Teatro Vivo

Dec. 14 at 2:00 PM

Next in our series of Five Saturdays of Cultural Sharing! Young Maria is having trouble in school. Her mother sends her to her Coahuiltecan grandmother in Laredo where she learns how Yana Wana found water for her people and the bluebonnets of Texas. She also discovers the power of heritage and the value of one’s own story. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Our thanks to the Texas Commission on the Arts
and the generous supporters of our Five
Saturdays of Cultural Sharing.
