A young woman is addicted to opioids. Her first love and erstwhile boyfriend is her dealer. What's a girl to do? She lives with her father, a doctor, who is aware, but silent of the role the medical establishment has played in this epidemic. He wonders what ails his daughter, but ignores the problem under his nose in favor of profits, vocation and lifestyle.
One night, her boyfriend pays a visit and they re-live their lives together: fun times, innocence, lost love and addiction. His concern for her station is outpaced by her emotional manipulation and need for the hard drugs which he has previously delivered to her.
What, exactly, is her problem? How do you kick a boyfriend habit and break up with drugs? The night comes to a head when they confront the truth of who they each are now. He leaves her to herself and her habits and a lethal dose of heroin. Will she wake up from a life of addition and finally face herself?
This show is part of the Springboard Season, full of new and developing projects proposed by community and ensemble members.
