Precious Metal Clay Jewelry

Tuesday, December 22

12:00 – 4:00 p.m. $125.

Precious Metal Clay (PMC) is a crafting medium with the consistency of polymer clay, composed of very small particles of silver.

Artist Mary Tuck guides the class through molding and shaping the PMC into beautiful pendants, rings, and earrings that are then fired in a tabletop kiln. The binder in the PMC burns away, incredibly leaving 99% pure silver pieces of jewelry.

Finish your work by creating a patina, burnishing, polishing, and finally assembling the silver into a wearable piece of jewelry.

Perfect for last minute, handmade gifts!

This class is limited to 10 students to allow for social distancing in the Center's King Community Room. Masks are required at all times.
