The Teen Creative Writing class will help students discover their writing voices through fun and playful writing activities. Each class we’ll practice new forms of writing, including poetry, fiction, fan fiction, letters, and more. We'll approach the writing in new and different ways in a safe, fun environment.

We strongly believe there is no wrong way to write. Students will start to learn their own point of view to find their voices, create new stories, and make up new worlds. There will be a lot of writing, a lot of laughter, and fun!

This workshop is ideal for teens who:
Want to express themselves freely, without rules or inhibitions, love the idea of trying new things and new ways of doing things in a safe, accepting environment, want to connect with new friends with similar passions for writing, and feel ready to share their new writing with their peers.

Students will leave this course with a lot of new materials, a start to understanding their writing point of view, new friends on the same writing journey, a positive feeling about their creativity, and characters created for instant access in future writings.

In this class students won't have to worry about judgement, harsh critique, strict rules, spelling and grammar, or pressure.
