In present-day society, where social media feeds and likes determine status, so does the original intent of the U.S. Constitution. In this living room drama set somewhere in the Pacific Northwest, meet husband and wife Hartman and Autumn, and their children including Valentine who build wealth for the Pillars through cooking, artistry, military service, and social media curation. When the Pillar's daughter, Maybelline, returns home from college with a suitor not ideal to her father, changes take place for both families that ask questions about how systems of oppression blind and bind people to the horrors of greed and wealth.
