Rising from the ashes of Buffalo Springfield, The Hollies and The Byrds, Crosby, Stills and Nash were feeling the pressure to repeat the success of their Grammy Award winning 1969 album “Crosby Stills & Nash”. The addition of Neil Young changed the sound of the band while retaining the wonderful vocal arrangements that drive each song. With songs like “Our House”, “Teach Your Children” and the title track, “Déjà vu” sets a line in the sand for emergence of the singer/songwriters of the 1970’s. The Listening Party begins at 7pm with a live audio & video presentation by Chuck Vosganian aka “Rochmon”. We’ll listen to “Déjà vu” on The Park Theater’s state of the art sound system. A Rochmon Record Club Listening Party is meant to inform and deepen our understanding of the history of the individual performers, the songs and the stories that went into the making this iconic album. By listening together, we hear the album again for the first time.
