You got your vaccine and now it's time to make it EXTRA weird!!! Some of the best venues in town (Bombs Away, Common Fields, old World Deli, and the Whiteside Theatre) are getting together to host a love fest of our favorite bands.

The Deep Woods Band was formed in the winter of 1999-00 by a group of mid-valley musicians whose goal was to play the kind of music they loved and didn't get to see locally. Influences are as diverse as The Rolling Stones, The Holy Modal Rounders, The Grateful Dead, Mingus, Savoy Brown, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Ray Charles, The Kinks, and The Mugwumps.

The current line up has morphed the band's sound into a mix of jamming rock, psychedelic blues, and Americana featuring originals and covers that will make you want to dance!

Ever evolving, the members of the band may have changed throughout the decades, each adding their own personal touches to the music. but the rock and blues core remains the same.

Start with the gruff, blues-tinged vocals & guitar styling of Bobby Shade, add in the psychedelic bluesy guitar grooves & vocals of David Burroughs with well-placed howling harmonica and vocals of The Rev. A. J. Studley. Add to this mix drummer TBone Empey and beneath it all the ever present Isaac Jones on bass & vocals and you have yourself one rocking good time!
