It's always a joyous homecoming when the spectacular Laura Roth and Hui Cox return to The Park.

She has performed one-woman shows before audiences of thousands at major casino hotels, resorts and theaters up and down the east coast, and also makes her home in the Capital District.And boy did we get lucky when Hui Cox landed in town.

Teaching guitar at Bennington College and living in the Capital District, Hui is a celebrated producer, composer, Grammy nominee, and recipient of two grants for composition from the National Endowment for the Arts, who has toured the world and recorded with Cab Calloway, Odetta, Liza Minnelli, Melba Moore, Wilson Pickett, Stanley Turrentine, Richie Havens, The Temptations, The Four Tops, and many more of the greatest names in show business. It’s no surprise that he met and teamed up with unbeatable singer Laura Roth. Laura has performed one-woman shows before audiences of thousands at major casino hotels, resorts and theaters up and down the east coast and also makes her home in the Capital District.

What a great combo they make! Through this partnership they have come home to their deepest musical love: jazz. They perform exciting and superbly confident renditions of Ella Fitzgerald, Cole Porter, Chaka Kahn, Chick Correa, Sting, Gershwin, and others. Laura will deliver the vocals and Hui will back her with electric, acoustic, classical, MIDIed 7-string guitar, mandolin, and electric bass, from his gorgeous collection of stringed instruments.
