UP closes out its 42nd season with the blockbuster tap dance musical 42nd Street. 42nd Street is a backstage musical comedy that follows the story of young, starry-eyed dancer Peggy Sawyer who leaves her Allentown home for New York City to audition for the latest Broadway musical. When the leading lady breaks her ankle, Peggy takes her place and becomes a star.

42nd Street is full of vibrant dancing, spectacular production numbers, and some of the most popular songs from the classic Broadway catalog—including “We’re in The Money,” “Lullaby of Broadway,” “Shuffle Off To Buffalo,” and, of course, “42nd Street”.

UP is proud to be doing one of, if not the first, US productions of the newly revised version of the show, retooled for the West End in London in 2019.
