The Creative Arts Guild’s annual story ballet, The Snow Queen, is celebrating its 16th anniversary! Join us on this magical journey through the seasons inspired by the Hans Christian Andersen fairytale and learn how love can melt even the coldest of hearts.
The Snow Queen 2021 will be performed with a professional live chamber orchestra. This is an experience that we initiated for our 2016 production and one that we are proud to continue for our community as it raises the bar for art experiences in our region.
This year for the first time, the Dalton High School Players will be featured as marionettes in the Village scene. The Saturday, November 20th matinee at 2 pm features all of the live music, mystery, and magic of The Snow Queen in an abridged, narrated format specifically designed for young audiences and their families. Dalton High School Players also narrate as Hans Christian Andersen and his wife Anne - traveling through the story with the audience and demonstrating the traditions, techniques, and artistic choices of ballet and an orchestra - granting a greater understanding and appreciation for this experience and artform! Come and join the magic!
