Asheville locals BAD TIES take their unique spin on beat poetry performance into the world of mixed media performance art with their new show “IN THE MOUTH OF URBAN DECAY”, a 30-minute presentation of film, music, and original spoken word surrounding themes of displacement, geography and life’s little disappointments.

While hooked up to his homemade EEG music machine, zen Sutherland will be reading an experimental spoken-word piece about a stroke victim who is trying to regain his ability to speak.
