San Francisco University High School Is Proud to Present:

THE SPRING CONCERT
LIVE & IN-PERSON!*

Come celebrate the UHS Music Program and its many musicians at our annual Spring Concert on Friday, March 18, at 6:30 PM** in the UHS theater. The Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Combo, Advanced Choir, Beginning Instrument Ensemble, Chamber Orchestra, and the Satonics, will be sharing their work at this special event.

In our first spring concert on campus since March of 2019, the Jazz Combo along with the Jazz and Contemporary Music Ensemble will be playing music steeped in classic Jazz history (pieces by Horace Silver, Joe Zawinul, John Coltrane) mixed with contemporary compositions and arrangements from some of today’s most respected and sought after female identifying composers/arrangers (Patty Darling and Ellen Rowe). Advanced Choir will perform a selection of solos, Mark Miller’s “Draw the Circle Wide,” and the Bulgarian composed piece “Kaval Sviri.” And UHS' very own a cappella group, The Satonics, will perform a medley of Adele songs!

In the spirit of drawing the circle wider, the concert will include lyrics and music captioning.
