Joe Turner’s Come and Gone is August Wilson’s second installment of his Pittsburg Cycle chronicling Black life decade-by-decade. The story takes place in 1911 at a boarding house. Each denizen of the boarding house has a different relationship with slavery in the past and the urban present. Cast: Tim Golden, Josie Seid, Jerry Foster, Leif Norby, La ‘Tevin Alexander, Eric Island, Taylore Mahogany Scott, Victoria Alvarez-Chacon, and Adrienne Livingston. Directed by William Earl Ray.
