Come and celebrate International Sculpture Day at the Creative Arts Guild with our Spring for the Arts 2022 Sculpture Garden Brunch!

Saturday, April 30, 11am - 2pm at the Creative Arts Guild (520 W. Waugh Street) on the Spigel Pavilion and in our Robert T. Webb Sculpture Garden.

Spring for the Arts 2022 will include a three-course brunch catered by Cyra's, docent guided tours of the Robert T. Webb Sculpture Garden, live piano music by Luke  Simmons and The Dueling Piano Guys, and will continue our tradition of our Spring for the Arts raffle with gift and travel packages from local and regional businesses.

Spring for the Arts is the Guild's annual fundraiser for all of our Arts in Education programs. The Guild’s Arts in Education programs consist of our internal educational classes and workshops in dance, visual arts, culinary arts, and music; field trip offerings; arts scholarships; our annual Student Arts Expo; our multicultural children’s hill at FESTIVAL; and Creative Connections – our annual professional development conference for all our area school arts educators in all arts disciplines.

Our coveted partnership with the O.N. Jonas Foundation provides Artists in Residence opportunities for our area students - striving to ensure that every child in our community has the opportunity to participate in the arts. The partnership is committed to broadening student arts exposure and education in grades pre-K through 12 in Dalton Public, Whitfield County and Murray County Schools, as well as the Elbert Shaw Regional Detention Center, Crossroads Academy, Mountain Creek Academy and Northstar School. Each year, these arts education programs create nearly 40,000 arts experiences for our area students.

Arts education and exposure has numerous benefits including improved academic performance, cultural awareness, inventiveness, social and emotional development and civic engagement. It
also promotes self-directed learning, improves school attendance and sharpens critical and creative skills. The Guild’s Arts in Education programs strive to ensure that ALL of our community’s children are engaged in the arts and are granted the benefits of art experiences regardless of their socioeconomic background.

With your help, we will continue the tradition of connecting students to the arts. Please join us at this year’s Spring for the Arts fundraiser!
