Explore the history of Napa Valley through a tasting of wines from Relic Wine Cellars with winemaker Michael Hirby made from old vines planted between 1900 and the 1940s in Calistoga. These vines have been tended with loving care over the generations by Italian immigrant families who built their homes and planted their vineyards in the late 1800s and early 1900s. The grape varietals they chose to plant in these rocky soils are uniquely suited to the area, and survive to make historic wines to this day.
