The group’s repertoire ranges from trademark Baroque and Dixieland tunes to Latin, big band, Broadway, and new compositions and arrangements created especially for them; their presentation varies from formal and classical to renditions served up with lively dialogue and theatrical effects. The hallmark of a Canadian Brass performance is entertainment, spontaneity, virtuosity, and fun—but never at the expense of the music, which is performed with the utmost dedication and skill. The quintet has toured throughout North America, Europe, and Asia, and made television appearances on The Tonight Show, Today, Entertainment Tonight, Evening at Pops, and numerous PBS specials, including an appearance on Sesame Street.
