Doubt, A Parable

Parental Advisory: Play contains adult content and may not be suitable for children.

by John Patrick Shanley
Set in a Catholic school in the Bronx in 1964, Doubt explores the conflict between the school’s principal, Sister Aloysius and the progressive parish priest, Father Flynn. Sister Aloysius is convinced that Father Flynn is guilty of misconduct with one of the students, and she sets out to pull the young impressionable Sister James over to her side. By the end of the play, both Sister Aloysius and the audience are left to struggle with the tension between absolute conviction and doubt.
*with Faculty Guest Artists Amy Dunlap as Sister Aloysius and Joshua Scott as Father Flynn
