Learn how Douglass escaped slavery and his impact on the suffrage movement, the antebellum, the Civil War and early reconstruction.

Understand his relationships with William Lloyd Garrison, Susan B. Anthony, Harriet Tubman, and Presidents Lincoln, Garfield and Grant.

Hear Mr. Douglass explain his changing views on the U.S. Constitution and the meaning of American Democracy.
