Jerry is a third-rate playwright that runs a theater troupe and stage downtown. He has a weakness, he loves "playing the ponies”, spends the theaters ticket sales money at the race track and loses all the money.
Now facing bank foreclosure, in desperation, he takes out a loan from “The Mob” to pay the delinquent mortgage payments, but when he sees all that money, he decides to “play the ponies” one more time and loses everything.
You don’t mess with the mob, and now . . . Jerry's Dead!!!
