Based on the short story by O. Henry, The Gift of the Magi is about a young couple, Jim and Della, who are very much in love but facing financial hardships. As Christmas approaches, they both want to buy each other meaningful gifts but lack the necessary funds. Jory’s adaptation, which includes holiday musical interludes, illustrates the depth of love and the willingness to make sacrifices for the ones we care about. It is a classic tale that explores themes of selflessness, the true meaning of gift-giving, and the value of relationships.
