Mozart, Simon, and Shostakovich

Mozart's tempestuous side is fully revealed in his ominous and sublime Piano Concerto No.20 in D minor, performed by Philadelphia-native Dynasty Battles. Mozart's concerto was a favorite of Ludwig van Beethoven whose Seventh Symphony was the inspiration for Fate May Conquer, by award-winning composer, Carlos Simon. Maestro Anthony Parnther leads the SBSO on Dmitri Shostakovich's triumphant Fifth Symphony.
