Gay Men's Chorus of Charlotte Presents:  PROUD

7:30 PM Fri 18 August

St. Martin's Episcopal Church
1510 East 7th Street
Charlotte, NC 28204

We're pleased as punch to announce that legendary drag performer Patti O'Furniture will join the Gay Men's Chorus of Charlotte on stage at our next concert extravaganza, Proud!

Patti O’Furniture has followed a very non-traditional path into female impersonation since her debut in 1999. Featured on the Season 2 premiere of the HBO series We’re Here, her mix of professionalism and quick wit have earned her a spot as one of the most sought-after emcees in the region.

It's an evening of inspiration and laughter! Let's explore what makes us proud of ourselves and each other, and what we can do to make the world better for those who are having a hard time fitting in. We'll feature songs like Proud by Heather Small (from the TV show Queer as Folk), A Patch of Light by Jacob Narverud, Armor by Sara Bareilles, and Does the World Say? by Kyle Pederson. It's going to set your pride on fire!

Historic St. Martin's is located conveniently a block away from the Gold Line stop at Hawthorne @ 8th St (about one block away). The CATS #27 bus's stop at 7th St @ Beaumont St is right at the front door of the church. If you're driving, it's easily accessible from Independence Blvd with lots of free surface parking.
