When Elinor and Marianne Dashwood--two very different sisters with two very different philosophies on life--find their former fortunes taken away from them, they must navigate a new paradigm in England's rigid class system. Particularly, their experiences in romance and love are hampered. Elinor strains to hide her love away in the face of honor and propriety, while Marianne throws caution to the wind to follow her heart. Both paths are filled with dangers as they strive to find the middle way between sense and sensibility.
