Join us for a staged reading of “Leal's Last Stand” by Suzanne Bailie, directed by Cindy Giese French. Part of the FIRST DRAFT reading series presented by the Edmonds Driftwood Players and Driftwood After Dark.

Grandma Leal lives on a goat farm with her two granddaughters. As Grandma Leal's mind starts to slip, she fights to recall the present and can’t forget her past. Her granddaughters struggle to hide her guns and limit her use of lethal skills. Unknown to the rest of her family, Leal actively enlists a granddaughter's new boyfriend to help her carry out an exit strategy of her own.

Runtime: 90-minutes without an intermission

*Trigger warning: This play contains violence, adult language, talk of self-harm, and guns.
