Placed in the Deep South in 1948, Driving Miss Daisy follows a rich, sharp-tongued Jewish widow of seventy-two and her newly appointment chauffeur, Hoke, who is thoughtful black man. Miss Daisy immediately regards Hoke with disdain and who, in turn, is not impressed with his employer's patronizing tone and, he believes, her latent prejudice. Will they be able to overcome their differences?
