Our Careful Tending

In the fall of 2022, Our Careful Tending was brought to life for Art in the Heart, a project to unite, heal, and strengthen the community. The goal of the project is to use art to spark conversation and ideas on how to re-envision Pack Square Plaza to include the full diversity of the city's people. Our Careful Tending is a poem written and shared as a poetic grief circle holding space for the grief and harm of the past while weaving collective hope and care for the present-day into the future as a community.
