BEFORE THEY WERE THE SUPREMES, they were just girls living in the Brewster Projects of Chicago with a dream. Florence Ballard became friends with Mary Wilson who was friendly with a girl by the name of Diane Ross, later to be known as Diana.

Along with others they formed the girl group, The Primettes. Their success would take several years. During that time, they sang backup for other Motown groups, became secretaries and many personal tragedies be failed them.

This story is before their fame changed their lives. The show is dedicated to Florence and to the playwrights personal friend and mentor on the story, Miss Mary Wilson.
