Musikang Halo-Halo: Starting to Mix

Musikang Halo-Halo: Starting to Mix is a work that explores artist Theresa Calpotura’s mixed Filipina-American heritage by combining stories from her 100-year-old grandmother's life, Filipinx mythology and legends, traditional instrumentation from the Philippines (including the kutiyapi, kubing, gabbang and guitar), electronics, vocals, spoken word narrative and illustrated visuals.
