This concert takes place at the Hawk Community Center located at 29995 W 12 Mile Road, Farmington Hills, MI 48334

Since 1982 the Detroit Metropolitan Youth Symphony has developed students from nearly 50 metro-Detroit communities. Join us at the Hawk for a showcase of some of the region's best young talent in four orchestras of students grades 2-12 ranging from advanced beginning strings to the DMYS flagship full Symphony Orchestra. Join us as DMYS kicks off their inaugural season at the Hawk!

This April, four orchestras of DMYS students in grades 2-13 perform works ranging from the World Premiere of the DMYS commissioned work "Gasoline Rainbows" for full orchestra by Katahj Copely, to Dvorak, Smetana, Mahler, Mozart, and even selections from "Mamma Mia!"
