The Birds and the Bees
by Mark Crawford
The Birds and the Bees is a laugh-out-loud comedy with a huge, honeyed heart. Sarah, a turkey farmer who recently left her husband, has just moved back home to the farm with her beekeeper mother, Gail. Gail is more concerned about her dying bees than Sarah's needs. The two women try to ajust to their new reality, when things get complicated by an eccentric neighbour, Earl, and a handsome young researcher, Ben. The play tackles sex, love, science, family and other lessons in pollination, if you know what we mean.
