Our Artistic 49th Opera Season begins with our 6th annual Opera in the Park concert at MacAllister Amphitheater at Garfield Park. The evening will feature an all-Indiana line-up of music celebrities, with concert hosts, opera superstar soprano Angela Brown and Maestro Alfred Savia, alongside musical guests, pianist Joshua “Sock Joplin” Thompson, Grammy-nominated mezzo-soprano Kirsten Gunlogson, members of the Indianapolis Youth Orchestra, and honoring Indianapolis vocal jazz legend Everett Greene. Experience beautiful music and captivating performances while enjoying the spacious park and picnicking with friends and family!

Pre-concert picnicking begins at 6 PM and the concert begins at 7 PM.

This event is free, however, please consider a suggested donation of at least $10 per person to support the Indianapolis Opera. Your donation will continue to help us being this free event to the entire Indianapolis community.
