Start the season with the return of pianist Jeremy Denk! Winner of a MacArthur “Genius” Fellowship, and the Avery Fisher Prize, Denk frequently appears at Carnegie Hall and in recent seasons has appeared with the Chicago and San Francisco Symphonies, the New York and Los Angeles Philharmonies, and multiple times at the BBC proms among many notable performances. “Able to draw the listener into his own feeling of renewed discovery” (Chicago Tribune), Denk presents an innovative and reflective recital of Bach’s Partitas. Highlighting the musical and architectural genius of Bach, these suites are the keyboard’s parallel to the cello suites.

Shortly after forming in 2019, this Czech piano trio’s talent and deep musicality became apparent after winning top prizes in prestigious competitions, including the Gianni Bergamo Award in Lugano, the International Johannes Brahms Competition in Vienna, and London’s Parkhouse Award. Their meteoric rise has led to concert tours throughout Europe, including the Musikverein in Vienna and Wigmore Hall in London. The trio won the 2024 Presto Music Award for Debut Album of the Year. We’re honored to have them make their Hawai‘i debut with HCMS.

This internationally acclaimed quartet is known for its technical finesse, expressive intensity, and adventurous programming. The quartet’s repertoire spans many musical genres, including the complete Beethoven cycles, premiers of contemporary works by Pulitzer winning composers, and multimedia projects like the Emmy-winning Transcendence. Their album Home was nominated for a 2025 Grammy Award. Winner of the 2005 Avery Fisher Career Grant, they’re currently Quartet in Residence at the University of Texas Butler School of Music.

Celebrating its 15th year, a capella quintet APOLLO5 stands out as one of Britain’s smallest but most dynamic vocal groups. Comprising a soprano, mezzo-soprano, two tenors and a bass, the ensemble is known for showcasing rich, dynamic and distinctive sounds while still connecting intimacy and directness. Their diversified repertoire spans five centuries including Renaissance polyphony, contemporary choral works, folk, jazz and pop.
