SOMETHING’S AFOOT – A Musical Murder Mystery

The Grand Drama & Comedy Club presents its 2024 Musical, Something’s Afoot, a zany, entertaining musical that takes a satirical poke at Agatha Christie mysteries and the musical style of the 1930s English music hall. Book, music and lyrics by James McDonald, David Vos and Robert Gerlach, and additional music by Ed Linderman; Something’s Afoot is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals.
Synopsis: Ten people are stranded in an isolated English country house during a raging thunderstorm. One by one, they’re picked off by cleverly fiendish devices. As the bodies pile up in the library, the survivors frantically race to uncover the identity and motivation of the cunning culprit.
Something's Afoot premiered at the Alliance Theater in Atlanta in 1972, and was then performed in Connecticut, Washington, D.C., San Francisco and Los Angeles. Opening on Broadway at the Lyceum Theatre in 1976, it was subsequently produced in London in 1977.
