Based on historical records, LIZZIE explores the heated days leading up to the murders and the trial’s controversial outcome. With a cast of four powerful performers, a dynamic live band, and a soundtrack inspired by the music of Bikini Kill, The Runaways, and Heart, LIZZIE is a fierce and captivating experience, blending raw emotion and historical intrigue with a pulse-pounding musical score.

The next of the series will be the 1978 musical, The Wiz .When Harlem schoolteacher Dorothy (Diana Ross) tries to save her dog from a storm, she's miraculously whisked away to an urban fantasy land called Oz. After accidentally killing the Wicked Witch of the East upon her arrival, Dorothy is told about the Wiz (Richard Pryor), a wizard who can help her get back to Manhattan. As Dorothy goes in search of the Wiz, she's joined by the Scarecrow (Michael Jackson), the Tin Man (Nipsey Russell) and the Cowardly Lion (Ted Ross)

The short film features creative artists including a 6th grade student actor, a beloved science educator, and a legendary and dancer and choreographer; and highlights the story behind the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD).”

Immerse yourself in the world of jazz with our new weekday salon series, a celebration of music, culture, and community. Curated by CJRO Artistic Director Drew Zaremba, these one-hour long salons will feature some of the best musical storytellers in Colorado. These events are designed to be accessible to our diverse community, offering a unique opportunity for students and adults alike to experience the music and story of jazz.

Gabriel Mervine is an accomplished Denver-based jazz trumpeter and composer celebrated for his distinctive sound, masterful improvisation, and dynamic stage presence. He has shared the stage with a remarkable array of artists across genres—including Natalie Cole, Christian McBride, Terence Blanchard, Griz, Big Gigantic, Maceo Parker, Fred Wesley, Wayne Bergeron, and The Who. His orchestral and large ensemble work includes performances with the Colorado Symphony, Boulder Philharmonic, and the Motet, while his freelance career has spanned everything from Mariachi to Mahler. Gabriel is often featured with the CJRO big band and actively appears on many stages throughout Colorado and beyond

In a festive mood, the ladies of the Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen's Guild Dramatic Society mount another assault on the classics with their stage version of "A Christmas Carol." They enthusiastically portray a dizzy array of characters from the Dickensian favorite (and a few which aren't), engineer some novel audience participation while bravely contending with an intrusive PA system, and -- a real Farndale first -- wrap their vocal cords and feet around two original, show-stopping songs.

The Fox will welcome some of the true "grandes dames" of the Colorado theatre community to the stage for this hilarious, nonstop journey into a holiday show gone utterly and madly wrong.

But after firing a staff member, Eliot Loudermilk (Bobcat Goldthwait), on Christmas Eve, Frank is visited by a series of ghosts who give him a chance to re-evaluate his actions and right the wrongs of his past
