Cruel Intentions: The ‘90s Musical
by Lindsey Rosin, Jordan Ross, Roger Kumble
August 2 - 11
Cruel Intentions is a new musical based on the original movie which was based on the famous French novel Les Liaisons Dangereuses. While the 1999 film was set in at the end of the '90s it has many of the same aspects of the original subject material. It brings us to the summer months before school is back in session and thrusts us into the world of wealthy manipulative Manhattan socialites. What makes it unique is that they are high schoolers that are playing games with their fellow classmates. The show has many themes that play into the vision. Love. Destruction. Revenge. Regret and above all consequences. The rule to this game between the pair of charmingly diabolical step siblings is to never fall in love.
NOTE: This show contains depictions of adult situations, sexual situations, racism and homophobia, partial nudity, sexual assault, drug use and adult language. Parental discretion is advised.
