Sexicide by Gerrin Mitchell

Sexicide, a penetrating look at intimacy in the digital age. What is desire? How do we manage our need for intimacy? An orgasm is described as a mini death, but can it actually kill you? This performance will highlight the sexual experiences of a queer black man in Portland. Sex is deadly but death is also a transformation.

Gerrin Mitchell is a Portland based multidisciplinary artist. Some favorite Portland roles include Cheshire Cat in Alice in Wonderland with NWCT,  Actor 5 in Bootycandy with Fuse Theatre, Junior Davis in Choir Boy, M.C. in Dreamgirls with PCS, Hands Up/Evolve with Red Door Project, Miles/Shawn/Rashad in Gloria with Profile Theatre, Hunter 3/Freedom Fund Lady in Fucking A with Shaking The Tree, and Ruby Rider in The Cowboy Show with Prismagic Circus. He has also been seen in countless stage readings across the city and some film projects. He is grateful for an opportunity to create a commentary on the complexities dating in Portland.
