MAINSTAGE COMEDY

Geezers introduces us to some beautiful and wonderful old people who are enjoying their golden years in a retirement home. Jack, a pathologically shy, 27-year-old man, begins a job there helping the seniors with their daily needs. But it's the "geezers" who wind up helping Jack with his needs. On his road to an epiphany, Jack learns from the old folks that he must break out of his comfort zone to achieve anything in life. Jack learns to crawl—then walk, then fly—with a wise group of mentors guiding him along. A funny, heartwarming drama about growth and wisdom, learning and loving, life and death.

DIRECTOR’S NOTE:
Geezers is a script with all the emotions you felt throughout your life. The male characters are either your father, uncle, grandfather or a special male figure that you hang on to every word told to you. You always wanted another story. Many men including my father would never speak about his time in the Army (Korea War). He even went so far as dumping his military items in the sea coming back to the State.

The female characters are your mother, aunt, grandmother or the special female person you run to in the time of need. I had and still have some of those women. This script helped me remember some of them and made me smile and feel the warmth in my soul.

I hope we all show respect and love to these people throughout their lives. This play will make you laugh, shed a few tears and think about that special person. Life is good show kindness to all
