Swamp blues guitarist Walter Parks and drummer producer Steven Williams unite as The Unlawful Assembly to take a modern look at historic southern U.S. spirituals, hollers, reels and work songs all of which are prefaced with relevant stories. This inspiring and rare performance celebrates the return of vocalist Ada Dyer, who’s on a very short pause from touring worldwide with Bruce Springsteen and The E-Street Band. Parks was the longtime sideman to Woodstock legend Richie Havens. Williams played with Sade and Digable Planets.
