Celebrating New Works presents...

Mannie! A Musical Theatre Fever Dream is a love/hate letter to all things musical theatre. Think URINETOWN meets FORBIDDEN BROADWAY verrrrrry loosely couched in ANNIE. Irreverent stupidity and chock full o'musical theatre tropes while shining a light on social inequity and injustice, this shitbox of a musical has something for every theatre nerd, young and old! Come join Mannie and his emotional support animal, Shandy, as they try to teach everyone that even if they are having the worst day ever, there's always The Next Day.

Directed by L. Elleseg (they/them)
Produced by Nate Mathis (he/him)

Decorated Marine and war veteran Oliver Sipple, or "Billy" to his friends, stopped an assassin from killing President Gerald Ford in San Francisco on September 22nd, 1975. Two days later, Harvey Milk outed him as gay to the entire world. Years later, a diverse group of visitors at the GLBT Historical Society in San Francisco are compelled to share Billy's story as a reminder of what being outed has cost us...both then and now.

Running Time: 60 Minutes, No Intermission
