Sierra Madre Playhouse is set to host "The Legacy of Pisendel" on Sunday, February 25th, at 2 PM. This afternoon concert celebrates the musical genius of Johann Georg Pisendel, a contemporary of J.S. Bach and a student of Antonio Vivaldi.

Leading the performance will be Vijay Gupta on the baroque violin, joined by Eva Lymenstull on the baroque 'cello and Ian Prichard on the harpsichord. The trio will recreate the ambiance of the later Baroque period.

The program includes sonatas for violin and continuo by Pisendel and pieces possibly attributed to him but potentially composed by other baroque masters. The repertoire will also feature compositions by Bach and Geminiani, exploring the variety and depth of baroque music.

Tickets for this event range from $30 to $45, offering accessibility to a wide audience. As an additional treat, complimentary champagne will be served to guests. This concert is an opportunity to experience the rich musical legacy of Pisendel and the exceptional talent of the performing artists.
