He further developed his skills under the tutelage of "El Maestro" Ernesto Chavarria. Moving to Los Angeles in 2001, Joey established himself as a sought-after keyboardist and producer, collaborating with artists like Tierra, El Chicano, Jeffrey Osborne, and Sister Sledge. His musical achievements include co-writing for Ersi Arvizu's album "Friend for Life," produced by Ry Cooder, and contributing to Grover Washington's "Strawberry Moon."
