Sierra Madre Playhouse is set to host an evening of jazz with Joey Navarro, taking place on Sunday March 10, 2024. The event promises soulful melodies and dynamic rhythms, highlighting Joey's musical talents.

Raised in Tolleson, AZ, Joey Navarro's musical influences range from R&B and Jazz to Mexican Heritage and Latin pop of the late '60s and '70s. His early passion for music led to a major record deal with Island Records-Antilles New Direction in New York and the creation of his album "On The Rocks," which featured a fusion of Funk, R&B, and the sounds of the mid-80s.

Joey, a talented keyboardist and musical director, has toured with numerous recording artists, adding depth to his musical experiences. He further developed his skills under the tutelage of "El Maestro" Ernesto Chavarria. Moving to Los Angeles in 2001, Joey established himself as a sought-after keyboardist and producer, collaborating with artists like Tierra, El Chicano, Jeffrey Osborne, and Sister Sledge. His musical achievements include co-writing for Ersi Arvizu's album "Friend for Life," produced by Ry Cooder, and contributing to Grover Washington's "Strawberry Moon."

The Sierra Madre Playhouse event with Joey Navarro offers an opportunity to experience his acclaimed musical talent. Tickets are priced between $12 and $35, making it an accessible event for jazz fans. Attendees can expect a night filled with inspiring and soul-touching jazz music.
