Sierra Madre Playhouse is hosting an event featuring Hindustani Classical Music with artists Kamaljeet and Jas Ahluwalia. The event is an afternoon session, focusing on the rich traditions of Indian classical music.

Kamaljeet and Jas Ahluwalia are a musical couple specializing in Hindustani classical music. Kamaljeet plays the Santoor, a hammered dulcimer/zither from Kashmir, which allows for the exploration of beautiful melodies and complex rhythmic patterns. Jas is a skilled Tabla player, known for producing exceptional tones and rhythms on this two-piece percussion instrument.

Their collaboration creates a unique musical experience, blending melodies and rhythms to create a harmonious sound. With over a decade of performing together, their performances feature improvisation and spontaneity. The improvisational nature of Indian Classical music enables them to explore new musical territories, captivating audiences with their passion and skill.
