Laurent Pellys hilarious production stars Natalie Dessay as the tomboy Marie, who has been brought up as the daughter of the regiment, and Juan Diego Flrez as the young man in love with her. Dazzling coloratura, including Flrezs nine high Cs in his act-one aria, meets perfect comic timing. Legendary actress Marian Seldes makes a special appearance as the Duchess of Krakenthorp and Marco Armiliato conducts.
