Joyful Song: A Tribute To Rosemary Clooney is a true labor of love, celebrating Rosemary’s glorious voice, her love of the Great American Songbook, and Janet’s deep personal connection to her artistry. Thoughtfully curated, the set list is comprised of song selections that reflect Clooney’s life and love of music. Favorites from both her pop and jazz repertoires, movie moments, and engaging storytelling take a deep look into the history that made her who she was.
Featured songs include Tenderly, the opening number on Clooney’s 1950’s television show, the novelty tunes (such as Mambo Italiano) which brought her fame, and the sultry love ballads she was best known for. A definite highlight is an exciting medley of songs from her classic film, White Christmas. After hearing her sing, Irving Berlin wrote the song Love: You Didn’t Do Right By Me specifically for Clooney; this song is a favorite of Janet’s, who will be wearing a stunning copy of the iconic dress Clooney wore in the film.
