Clayton Cameron, known as the “Brush Master,” will be performing at Sierra Madre Playhouse with his Rhythmos Quintet. Greek for Rhythm, Rhythmos is driven by the Master’s sophisticated jazz and contemporary drum stylings, coupled with original compositions and a unique treatment of jazz standards. Cameron’s playing is grounded in his 5 decades of work with legendary figures like Tony Bennett, Sammy Davis Jr., Frank Sinatra to Kenny Burrell, John Mayor and more. The quintet features pianist Andy Langham, bassist, Edwin Livingston, guitarist Larry Koonse, saxophonist Jacob Scesney with Clayton Cameron on drums. Bebop drumming legend Max Roach once referred to the “Brush Master” as “genius.”
