For the People: MMIP Benefit Show with Kunu Bearchum, Mato Wayuhi & Niandra Blonde

Join us for a benefit concert to fundraise and bring awareness to the crisis of Missing & Murdered Indigenous People and the MMIP movement.


HEADLINER:

Mato Wayuhi, Oglala Lakota artist and musician originally from South Dakota, is the musical composer of FX’s award-winning television series Reservation Dogs and the 2022 drama film War Pony. He is also featured on the 2023 Forbes 30 Under 30 list for Hollywood & Entertainment. Niandra Blonde is an Apsáalooke guitarist and musician who will be performing with Mato Wayuhi.


OPENER:

Kunu Bearchum, of the Northern Cheyenne and Ho-Chunk Nations, is a multimedia producer, filmmaker and recording artist based in Oregon.


All proceeds will go to organizations supporting Missing and Murdered Indigenous People (MMIP)/ Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit People (MMIWG2S). This event is being organized & run by the Students Advocating for Equity (SAFE) affinity group at Crescent Valley High School, in the Corvallis School District.
