Bach, Vivaldi, and Frazin

Celebrate with J.S. Bach’s majestic Brandenburg Concerto No. 3, Vivaldi’s festive Gloria, and the premiere of Howard Frazin’s Peace Cantata.

Peace Cantata is a setting of text by Jewish philosopher Abraham Joshua Heschel, and is co-commission in partnership with Temple Beth El to celebrate Rabbi Carolyn Braun and her years of service to our community upon her retirement.

Includes pre-concert lecture The Baroque Jam Band: Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos. Find out why musicians, musicologists, and NPR consider Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos “as powerful to me as any rock ‘n’ roll song, as energizing as any techno dance music, as driving and thrilling as any punk or heavy metal” (All Things Considered).
